Vocal music is an especially powerful form of communication that can encourage a better understanding of the struggles and achievements that define people and can develop values that sustain people in life’s experiences. It has a unique power to create community. Throughout its rich cultural history and directly because of its melding of poetry and music, vocal music has had a place in all celebrations of life - to herald new life, mourn the passing of life, mark holidays, and to explore the human condition.

Thank You!
In these times of stunning financial uncertainties, we are so grateful to our loyal friends and supporters who responded to our end-of-year request with great generosity.
Thanks to your continued support, we are able to move forward with our short-term plans and seriously contemplate some long-term projects. Your support is both humbling and affirming. Thank you!
Report on Riverside Concert
On Sunday, February 1st, we made a return appearance on The Riverside Church of New York City’s Christ Chapel Chamber Series. We were pleased with the turn-out and the enthusiasm of the
audience. Seems that even the Super Bowl can’t compete with our program of Fairy Tales & Lullabies! (Of course, the 3 pm concert start time didn’t hurt either!)
Introducing Lynelle Johnson!
It is our great pleasure to introduce soprano, Lynelle Johnson to the Phoenix family. (Please see The Performers for her bio and picture; also her website. )
Lynelle is a wonderful musician and captivating performer. She mastered both our holiday program and our Fairy Tales & Lullabies program, adding a great spark to all the performances. We are very grateful that she could join us and we look forward to our future collaborations.
Phoenix Friends!
Would you like to be a part of the behind-the-scenes activities of The Phoenix Quartet? We are entering a critical time of development and fundraising and are intent on increasing the size of our Board of Directors. Our current members are very devoted, but they, and the rest of the Phoenix family, need the company and resulting support of additional warm bodies!
Considering the return on your investment, the requirements for Board membership are minimal. You are helping Phoenix continue its quest. If you would like to take this additional step of involvement and commitment, please email or call Debra Poulter, Founder and Artistic Director.
